Industry veteran Mark Humphries joins newly formed Global Advisory Board at Temple Grange Partners

Experienced hire will support long term strategic business planning, including expansion into new verticals for Temple Grange Partners

09 March 2018, London

Temple Grange Partners (“Temple Grange”), an innovative risk, regulatory and compliance consultancy firm is pleased to announce the establishment of a Global Advisory Board to support the next stage of its strategic business development, with Mark Humphries joining as its first member.

Mark brings a wealth of experience to Temple Grange developed over a 25-year career in senior management positions in corporate finance, specialist resourcing and consultancy. His experience includes addressing fast changing client needs focusing on governance, risk and compliance across regulatory conduct and financial crime. Mark started his career in corporate finance at PwC predecessors Coopers & Lybrands before becoming an accomplished M&A specialist at FTSE 100 firm GKN plc, where he was responsible for acquisitions, integration and disposals both in the UK and internationally.

Following 14 years as Senior Partner and COO at Catalyst Corporate Finance, a boutique corporate finance firm advising on M&A (and recently sold to Alantra for over £30m), Mark was appointed Chief Executive Officer at Huntswood, a market leading UK professional services firm specialising in Governance, Risk and Compliance with a focus on retail conduct and financial crime risk in financial services and utilities, generating over £300m in annual revenue.

As Senior Advisor to the Board, Mark will enhance Temple Grange’s service proposition by bringing his deep expertise in business development, Private Equity, consultancy services and business leadership to bear, having grown and overseen different types of highly successful businesses throughout an accomplished career.

Further appointments to the Global Advisory Board will follow.

Commenting on his appointment, Mark Humphries said:

“I’m proud to join a team which has been so prescient in identifying new ways of delivering compliance specialists to financial services firms. When I first met Eoin, I instantly shared his excitement to support clients in a radically different way that truly meets their needs for more practitioner-led expertise.

It was clear to me that the traditional way compliance, risk and regulatory consultancy services were being delivered was no longer meeting changing industry needs. Since it launched only a few months ago, Temple Grange Partners has been growing rapidly, winning new mandates and clients. I am thrilled to be part of such a compelling business proposition that is perfectly positioned to benefit from the trends emerging in consulting services.”

Eoin O’Shea, Founder and Chief Executive of Temple Grange Partners, commented:

“Mark brings with him a rich industry network, proven experience in supporting business growth, and most importantly a deep understanding of the structural shifts taking place in the compliance consulting industry. Our business has grown rapidly since its launch in June last year, with a three fold increase in headcount over the last six months, including new offices in New York and Hong Kong, and month on month revenue growing over the same period at an average rate of 49%. Mark’s prior experience will be invaluable in helping us to consolidate that success, and to accelerate our growth plans into new verticals for Temple Grange Partners. The Global Advisory Board is an integral part of our business development strategy, adding highly experienced advisers who bring exceptional industry experience to support client delivery, and to help focus and refine our long term planning.”
